Narrative: “Radiance” is the first work in a series on twins. Inspired by her grandmother, Esther Andrea Anderson who came to New York in 1903 from Sweden with her twin sister, McKenzie presents her subjects as fair mirror-images of one another yet conveying different feelings. This work reflects an inner radiance made stronger by this bond between sisters and serves to remind that we are all reflections of one another.
