Christmas Card Greeting: This standard greeting is printed on the inside right panel of Christmas Cards. Let us celebrate the birth of Christ, our Savior! Wishing you the joy and wonder of Christmas.
Narrative: This narrative is printed on the back of each Christmas card. This shrine depicts the world’s reception of Christ’s Incarnation. At center stage is the Madonna and Child portraying the Blessed Mother tenderly holding the Christ Child on her knee. Dolls from all nations stand before them in awe or shyly sit back in profound respect. A variety of animals are also represented in this tableau.
On the rear wall is an interpretation of an early Christian painting which shows the shepherds, their dog and their flocks, heralded by a bright angel; and one of a sixth century mosaic from Ravenna which shows the three Magi bearing their gifts and rushing to greet the newborn King. Above is a star of straw guiding the way.
Above this holy space is the heavenly realm. Angels from Germany stand on either side of a small band from Austria. Angels with horns and two singing angels with red wings complete the celestial throng. Protectively hovering over the heavenly and earthly spheres is a white dove, wings outstretched, representing the Holy Spirit.
Personalized Christmas cards available. See our Custom Imprinting page for information.
