Narrative: This icon depicting the Incarnation is entitled Lux Mundi, Latin for Light of the World. Jesus, the Son, has taken human form in order to bring peace and light to all mankind. The Holy Mother bears peace in her heart for the whole world to share in as well.
In Jesus and Mary, peace and light are the rejection of hatred as well as the free embrace of God's holy will. There is hope that upon uniting with their hearts, in oneness of love, peace will prevail among mankind.
